My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ballet and siblings, Tapdance and Breakdance, arrived at SOS not trusting humans. Saved from a nasty death in deep south Texas through the kindness of one of our Laredo allies, he is quickly becoming very talkative, cuddly, curious and loving. It takes almost no time for him to start purring away and wanting to be brushed and snuggled. His sibling, Tapdance, is more cuddly. They cry when separated and need to stay together in their forever home. This sweet boy is ready for preadoption. TO ADOPT:
Fill out the application online at https://www.siameseorientalsnowshoerescue.org/adopt or email adopt@soscatrescue.org and request a copy. More info at siameseorientalsnowshoerescue.org/FAQ
Each cat will come to their new home with: neutered or spayed, age-appropriate vaccines, individually tested negative for FeLV/FIV, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
San Antonio & Austin areas: Kittens over 1 pound may be foster-to-adopt for approved adopters. In this instance, SOS Cat Rescue will cover spay, neuter, vaccines, combo testing (if not already completed) and microchip at 2.2 pounds.
DOGS & CATS: Unless otherwise noted, they are compatible with calm dogs who are cat-friendly. They are also compatible with cat-friendly cats with similar energy levels. If interested in a cat/kitten with a higher energy level than your current cat, adopting a bonded pair is recommended to avoid upsetting your cat. Slow introduction to new dogs and cats, according to the Jackson Galaxy method, is important to ensure they get along.
FLUFFY KITTIES: Adopters must have experience grooming long hair cats or be willing to take a quick class on YouTube about grooming long hair cats.
TRANSPORT DETAILS: Kittens younger than 16 weeks: adopters can fly to Austin or San Antonio airports for pickup.
Texas: cats over 14 weeks can travel along 1-35 or within 4 hours of San Antonio with a rescue partner for a small donation.
Out of state: for cats over 14 weeks old, transport is available to most of the Southern states, plus CT, NY, PA, ME, NJ and a few other states for $175 per crate. If they get along and space permits, up to 2 cats or 4 kittens can share a crate, and cost will be split amongst adopters. Out of state transport must have an Interstate Health Certificate by a qualified veterinarian for $85.
