My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome sweet boy is Ozzy. He is approximately 14 months old and is ready to find his forever home. Ozzy was a stray that was taken in by a friendly, concerned human. He was first observed in June of 2024 getting picked on and getting into tussles with neighborhood cats. He was TNR'd in August and was then noticed to be wounded in September. He was trapped and taken to a vet for a leg wound. While the thought was that he was feral (since outside he was fearful of humans), during his healing, it was apparant that he was very friendly and his journey to find a forever home began.

Ozzy is by far the sweetest cat his current foster mom has ever met! He follows her around the house trilling and is always doing full body rubs against her legs and can't get enough loves. Don't let his tipped ear fool you. While he was thought to be feral, this boy literally has no aggression towards humans in him. He even loves full-on belly rubs! While he can get a wee bit spooked if there is fast movement or a loud noise, once he realizes it's you, he is fine. He also is living with two other resident cats. He immediately fit in with everyone, no hissing and no agression. His integration was very easy and seemless. He is very respectful of the other cats and their space. He will occasionally wrestle with the cat that is about his age (but it is just playing and is initiated by the other cat) and he leaves the elderly cat in his foster home alone repsecting her boundaries.

Ozzy loves to play chase with a laser, wands toys and really loves fur mice. At his previous foster, it was said he plays fetch, and while he hasn't done that currently, he may do so in his forever home.

Ozzy does LOVE a nice heated bed. He had one before he came to AHS and has one at his current foster home. It is HIGHLY recommended that whoever adopts him, gets him one. This kid deserves to be spoiled! He spends his non-playing time lounging and snoozing in a heated bed, in a cat tree, looking out a window.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Young cats have an adoption fee of $175. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
