My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny was found abandoned at Wildwood Dog Park 2 years ago. Penny was severly emaciated and bald due to infection, she has been under the care of a foster gaining her strength and trust back. She can be timid around elderly men, does have a prey drive and does better with male dogs. Extremely loves kids and is playful, very affectionate! Absolutely LOVES water!!

More about this rescue

RESCUE is the last voice for dogs and cats who, through no fault of their own, find themselves awaiting death at local shelters. Angels for Animals is a California 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter. All of the dogs we rescue are in loving foster homes where they are rehabilitated, socialized and receive all of the medical treatment they need so they can be placed in their forever home.

We consider any animal that’s passed its “due out date” to be at risk for euthanasia at any time. We work with shelters and volunteers to pull the animal and get them into a foster home and ready for adoption as soon as possible. Since we don’t operate an actual shelter we rely on foster homes to help save these at risk animals.
After pulling an animal we transport them to their new foster home and start the process of getting them ready for adoption. All animals will be spayed/neutered, brought UTD (up to date) on all of their shots, and microchiped. A adoption fee is required to help replace the funds spent on rescuing each dog and getting him or her ready for adoption.
