Meet sweet little Madonna, a two-year-old, eight-pound chihuahua mix. She is a love bug and a cuddler. She loves to snuggle in your lap or right next to you and really wants to sleep in her guardian’s bed at night. Madonna is making strides in walking on a leash but also really likes to be carried, especially in a dog sling. She is starting to play with toys as she gains confidence, and she’s a bit mischievous, sometimes trying to sneak away with a slipper or sock. Madonna is house trained, and she has been very quiet in a noisy neighborhood. Her foster has only heard her bark a few times, and it is just to alert. She’s been left home alone for short periods and is not barking when foster mom gets back. Madonna was picked up as a stray but was definitely a pet. She’s so cute and gets lots of attention when she is out and about. She came in with another stray and was very loving and protective of him, so she should do great with other dogs, or as only dog if she didn’t have to spend too much time alone. She’s very quiet and calm on car rides, but has thrown up a little on longer rides, so will not be a big traveler. She’s ready to love again and will bond quickly with her new family. Please ask to meet this special little dog. She is so much fun! She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300.
All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
