Dear, sweet Iris is a loved pet who must find a new home since her family has hit financial problems.
Her perfect home would be a person or family with no other dogs who has a lot of love to give and can dedicate plenty of time for walks and exercise. She loves to go to the dog park or on hikes.
She has never lived with children but enjoys an 8 year old brother who visits.
She knows basic commands, SIT, PAW, DOWN, UP, STAY, FETCH (GO GET IT, DROP and LEAVE IT) and has excellent recall.
Iris is cautious of other dogs, but very friendly. She may bark out of curiosity but is not aggressive whatsoever. She may get a bit competitive if she lives with another dog so being an only dog is best.
Iris loves to chew on big meaty bones, play fetch and will drop a ball at your feet on command. She's a heavy chewer, so rope/stuffed toys are not good.
Iris will be the perfect addition to an active person or family looking for an affectionate, energetic dog who already has a lot of training.
