My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is a sweet, 1.5 year old, 10 lbs Chiweenie. He is all about his dog friends and loves to wrestle around and play in the yard. When he’s finished he’s ready for some snuggles and affection. Toby can be a bit of a tough guy at first when out and about meeting new people, but he quickly drops the act and warms up. He’s learning all about leash manners and house training while in his foster home. He’s even become accustomed to the crate and will sleep peacefully in it at night. Toby joined MHCR from a shelter in Texas where he and his 3 house mates found themselves after being surrendered. He’s ready for a fresh start as a valued family man.

Toby is in foster in Boulder, Colorado.

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
