My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roadie is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate pup who’s all about his people! Whether he’s snuggling on your lap or tagging along on an outdoor adventure, he’s the perfect combination of cuddle bug and explorer.

Here’s what you need to know about this lovable guy:
- Lap Dog Goals: At just the right size, Roadie is a champion snuggler who adores being carried or curled up on your lap. (Though he doesn’t mind some solo time—his favorite spot is a cozy bench by the window, perfect for people-watching!)
- Outdoor Enthusiast: Roadie loves heading outside for walks and exploring, though he’s not a fan of cold weather. Once he’s decked out in some winter gear, he’ll be ready to tackle snowy adventures in style.
- Social Butterfly: He’s a people person through and through! Roadie loves everyone he meets and greets them with confidence, affection, and his signature charm.

Pet Compatibility:
- Roadie’s foster sibling, a 50-lb English Bulldog, is his chill buddy. They coexist peacefully in the house, doing their own thing.
- Cats? Well, Roadie’s still figuring them out. He’s intimidated (cue dramatic barking and "help, the cat moved" cries), but with patience, he could adjust to a feline friend.

Training & Personality:
- Roadie knows “sit” and is working on leash manners. He’s not a fan of the crate at first, but he settles after a bit.
- He’s easygoing, extremely affectionate, and loves being the center of attention. If there’s a lap available, he’ll claim it—though he might need a reminder to share if another dog wants in on the cuddles.

Roadie’s perfect family would have lots of time to spend with him, as he thrives on being close to his humans. He’d also love to join you on adventures—think camping trips and outings where he can soak up the sights, sounds, and (of course) snuggles.

Friendly, happy, and full of love, Roadie is ready to be your best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, people-focused pup, Roadie can’t wait to meet you! 💕

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
