My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chip – A212892
Male, Tan German Shepherd Dog and Great Pyrenees Mix
Location: Yolo County Animal Services
Age: Approximately 10 months old
Weight: 65.00 pounds

About Chip:
Chip is a stunning boy with long, lanky legs and a personality to match his good looks. His combination of German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees traits makes him unique and charming. With floppy ears that just add to his irresistible charm, Chip has a friendly and easygoing nature.

The moment you meet Chip, he’ll greet you with a wagging tail and head rubs, showing his affectionate and social personality. Chip is easy to walk and eager to please, making him a joy to spend time with. His playful and curious nature shines through in everything he does, from giving paw to responding to sit commands with ease.

Although he’s listed as a German Shepherd, Chip’s bark and behavior suggest some Great Pyrenees influence, giving him that adorable “livestock dog” vibe. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion with a touch of adventure, Chip might just be the perfect match for you.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
