? Introducing Our Newest Addition: The Bad Boy Himself, Nugget! ?That’s right, we said it—Nugget is officially the bad boy on the block! ?

We are just calling it like we see it—Nugget, the Doxie mix is bad to the bone (in the cutest way possible)! ? This 9-week-old, 6-pound ball of energy has no trouble keeping his foster family and canine buddies on their toes. From zoomies around the house to sneaky antics that’ll leave you laughing, Nugget knows how to stir things up! ?

But don’t let his mischievous side fool you—when this little rascal finally wears himself out, he’s nothing but pure sweetness. (We promise, he can be loving… mostly when he’s snoozing! ???)

Nugget is a pint-sized powerhouse with a huge personality, and we know he’ll keep everyone entertained. This tiny troublemaker is sure to steal the show wherever he goes! ??

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to our website at www.humanesocietyofcalvertcounty.org and fill out an application. Once we do our reviews, we will call you for a meet.

2.
Meet the Pet

We will do a background check, home check using Google Earth and ensure that the application would be a good fit for our dog.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything checks out and you don't have other dogs requiring a meet & greet be scheduled, you will be able to adopt the dog that day.

Additional adoption info

If a potential adopter has other animals in the household, we will schedule a meet & greet to ensure that all get along.

We are a no-kill 501 (c)( 3) non-profit that rescues dogs at risk of euthanasia. We bring them in, fully vet them, microchip them and find them their forever homes.
We are very passionate about what we do and try to give all our pups a home-like feel while staying with us!
