My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Little Bean:

He has the most stunning blue eyes you've ever seen. This beautiful boy has a gentle soul that will melt your heart. Little Bean is sweet but shy and he's looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and let his personality shine.

While Little Bean may take some time to warm up to new people and surroundings, his sweet nature makes every moment worth it. With patience and kindness, he will grow into a confident and affectionate companion. He's perfect for someone who appreciates the beauty of a gentle, quiet bond and has the love to help him thrive.

If you're ready to give Little Bean the forever home he deserves, please reach out to us. This precious boy can't wait to meet his special someone!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
