My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Robin is new to us here and we are still getting to know him.
He has previously lived with other cats, and may be okay in a multi-cat household, however he would be looking for a calm, welcoming cat to go home to as he is an easy target for bullying due to his nervous nature.

He is so sweet and loves people, but can be overwhelmed in his living area and has been known to hide until coaxed out for cuddle time.
He is a night owl and loves to curl up in bed with his people after playtime.
Robin is looking for a quiet home where he can feel comfortable to be himself and not need to hide. He is also looking for an indoor only home.

When Robin first came in, he had some symptoms of an upper respiratory infection called calici virus which he appears to have recovered from now. This means any existing cat in the household should be up to date on vaccinations.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
