Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet HC Bigelow TX whose owners found themselves without a home and unable to care for him and their other dogs. Bigelow is a Shih Tzu mix, approximately 6 years old, and weighing just 13 pounds. Upon arrival in NJ, he was adopted but has now been returned to NorthStar because his adopter can no longer care for him. This adorable boy is "back on the market" and looking for a new place to hang his leash!

Bigelow's foster mom says he is just the sweetest guy! He is house trained and crate trained and wants to be close by, but not underfoot. He isn’t comfortable being on the couch - much prefers a bed on the floor by your feet. Bigelow does love going on car rides & will happily accompany you on your errands.

Bigelow walks well on a leash although he doesn't like to walk very far - he needs some encouragement periodically to keep walking. He gets a few houses away from home and is ready to turn around. Bigelow is somewhat vocal so he would not be a good choice for an apartment - single home living would be best for him (and your neighbors!)

The first step is to submit an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org. Volunteers will process your application. Please be patient!

Home Check

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Adult Dog: 375.00
Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit
All adopters must complete application and be approved by the rescue.
