Merry Christmas, everyone! This is Frederick.

Frederick is an extremely handsome Tibetan Terrier mix approximately 2-3 years of age. He is definitely a young pup full of the perfect amount of energy for playing fetch with his new family in the back yard or for nice long morning and evening walks.

Frederick knows how to sit, takes treats nice and politely and loves his yummy food. He has played very well with his other fur friends here at the shelter so if you have a doggo at home, you will just need to bring them up to do a fun play session when you visit. Although we aren`t sure how Frederick is with cats, if you HAVE a feline friend at home, slow and supervised introductions will be necessary.

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
