My name is Pogi!

Pogi was born on October 7, 2023. Upon bringing him home, we discovered at 5 months that he was unable to hear. We currently have a deaf Boston Terrier and were prepared to take on the challenge of raising Pogi. He is kennel trained and is partially potty trained. He understands approximately 15 commands executed through hand signals, demonstrating quick learning capabilities. However, as Pogi has matured, he has developed dominant and reactive behaviors, resulting in multiple biting incidents. These occurrences typically arise when he is in an overstimulated state, characterized by hyperactivity.

We have been engaging with a professional dog trainer bi-weekly, which has proved beneficial. Pogi requires an experienced dog handler who can commit to ongoing training and possess a thorough understanding of behaviors in dogs. Despite Pogi's sweet disposition, we cannot accommodate his needs and are seeking a dedicated and patient handler who can provide care necessary for his growth.
