My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Santa is a 6 year old Shepherd/Collie mix who was rescued from the Colorado Puppy Rescue at 8-weeks. He loves adult humans, chasing the ball, swimming, being outside and taking naps on the couch or in the sun. He is smart, playful and active. Santa is not the most cuddly of dogs, but even though he doesn’t love to snuggle up on your lap, he always likes to be close by. Santa does not typically like other dogs (although there are some exceptions) and he gets nervous around small children. Santa would be happiest in a home with limited to no exposure to young kids. Whoever he ends up with would hopefully be able to maintain his active lifestyle. They also need to understand that he is not a dog who should be taken to a brewery or a dog park. Santa’s ideal scenario would be chasing a ball in the backyard or a field to burn off some energy followed by curling up next to his new owner on the couch for a nap. Santa has some nervous ticks/anxiety but is truly a good boy who we love dearly.
