Handsome Wendell is a smart 1.5 year old Hound. Wendell came in as a stray. No one ever called or came for him.

Wendell is a great boy. At almost 40 pounds he is curious and playful. Wendell is up for any activity that uses his nose especially if it includes tracking down SNACKS and TREATS!!!!

Wendell is still puppyish so patience as he continues growing into an amazing adult is a must. Wendell was a stray so time and understanding will be needed as he learns the household routines! Wendell has done well with the other dogs he has met!

Wendell has been neutered and microchipped, he is updated all vaccines including rabies. He has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention, heartworm tested (NEGATIVE) and given heartworm prevention.

The greater our reach the more homes we will find for the animals in our care.
Although we are about 1.5 hours away from the Washington, D.C. metro area, it is an easy drive. You can even make a day of it and stop off at country stores, Civil War battlefield sites and a huge mall complex in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg.
