My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A16265 Abby is an almost 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat. She initially entered our shelter as a stray in July 2023 and was adopted. She was recently surrendered to us because her owner died. She is litterbox trained and has lived with dogs but not children or other cats.

Abby is a sweet, very affectionate cat who is happy to lean into your hand for scritches, exposing her belly. She tentatively explores the playroom, sniffing, then will settle into a cozy cubby. Despite her desire for attention, she doesn't enjoy being picked up and carried. It may simply be shelter stress or her apparent dislike of other cats; she tenses and hisses when she sees them. She may do best as an only cat in a home without young children. Abby is just a blend of sweet & sassy! She'll make a lovely companion in the right home.
