My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Pumpkin and I am a young retriever mix. I don’t know how it happened but I was running loose in the parking lot of a big clothing store. Gosh people were parking their cars, loading packages, and driving away. Fortunately a kind stranger saw me and the predicament I was in….no food, no shelter, and no one to love me. She just couldn’t leave me there…thank goodness! She put me in her car and brought me to the shelter. I was never claimed by my owners and I am now available for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. Hey I want to give a big shout out to my kind rescuer! Thank you for helping me!!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
