My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From the owner:

Kida was born to a barn cat, we took her in as a kitten. She's still pretty small, and will probably always be on the tinier side. She can be a shy little girl, but if you scritch her chin or at the base of her tail, she'll totally melt in your hands! She's only about a year and a half old. Our house is a little too busy and chaotic for Kida, and she tends to spend a lot of time hiding. She's really afraid of our dog, and nothing we've tried has worked.

At night when things settle down, she wants to curl up and fall asleep in my lap when I'm watching TV, and will purr and purr. We want to find her a calm, quiet home where she can be herself and gain more confidence. She's going to need someone to be a little patient with her.

She does love to chase the laser light and anything with feathers will really get her going! She's young, so she's still really playful. I know she would be happy in a home without dogs or small kids, where she could be pampered like the princess she is.

More about this rescue

Feral Folk was originally founded to rescue and spread awareness about mislabeled shelter cats, and to promote TNR efforts for true ferals. We currently provide TNR services to the New London, WI area, and can assist in transporting barn cats to spay/neuter clinics.

While intakes of friendly adoptables are currently closed, we are happy to share courtesy posts for community members in need of finding a new home for their cats. Reach out to feralfolkmail@gmail.com or find us on Facebook if you want to submit a courtesy post.
