My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily and the rest of her siblings were found along a trail, hiding in a stump.
They were cold, wet and scared but were thankfully all caught and brought into our care and sent into a foster home.

They are currently in foster with other cats, dogs and a small child, all of which they are still adjusting to.
Lily is an independent little girl and LOVES her food! She enjoys lounging on her favourite perch, and playing with her sister.

She loves scratch posts and is loving all the toys in her foster home and cats to play with.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application online.
These girls are still in their foster home awaiting their spay appointments and are available by appointment only.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
