My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger, and her littermates, Posh and Sporty, was found in the middle of the road in Delta. She is a fluffy gal! Himalayan in appearance and a bit of a loner. She may run if you try to pick her up, but sit in a chair and she is in your lap instantly! Ginger will need to be brushed, cuddled and loved on for sure.

More about this shelter

SCAS was founded in 2001 and worked with the Town of Cedaredge to provide an adoption guaranteed animal shelter through 2010. In 2011 SCAS took over the operations of the shelter. Cedaredge has about 2000 residents. Volunteers walk the dogs daily and spend time cuddling the cats. We have a foster kitten program to keep kittens healthy and cuddly. Often we have barn cats available when free roaming cats can't be tamed to household living. Our dogs come to us as strays and through relinquishment. They are often lively guys in need of love and manners!! We have 8 dog runs.
