My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ME…
Hello, I am Dante!! I am a Border Collie mix who may be a bit shy when you first meet me, but don’t let that fool you—I am quick to warm up. With my soulful eyes and soft, wavy coat, I hope I can soon be your best friend, eager to explore the world and stay close by your side. I love discovering new places, whether it's a walk through the park or an adventure in the backyard. I am still little so sometimes I need your reassurance. I love to cuddle and give kisses. I am in a house with elementary age children and 1 other dog who is 2 years old, who is teaching me the ropes and I am a fast learner!

I AM GREAT WITH…
I get along great with the other dogs and like children. I am a fast learner. I am learning to share and learn boundaries and treats drive me to learn more. I am doing really well on my crate training and with the right toys and cozy blanket enjoy my time in the crate.

I AM STILL WORKING ON…
I was not potty trained, but I am working hard on it, and I hardly have any accidents now. I go outside and inside very easily. My foster family has a doggie door and I can go in and out when I need to go. I'm also learning to stand by the door to let my foster family know I have to go outside.

I AM NOT GOOD WITH…
I have not met a cat yet so I do not know how I feel about them.

I REQUIRE…
Just a little patience and understanding while I learn and explore the world around me. I am curious and love to explore and hope you will be my new best friend.
