Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Winter Landz is a shy sweetheart who needs a little time to build her confidence, but her gentle, wiggly charm shines through once she knows you’re a friend.
Once she feels comfortable, her playful side is evident! Winter’s play style is adorably awkward, and while toys catch her interest, she’s still learning how much fun they can be. She’s a patient girl who takes treats gently (especially if cheese is involved!) and already knows how to sit like a pro.
With a bit of time and understanding, Winter Landz is ready to blossom into the loyal, loving pup she’s meant to be. Could you be the one to help her confidence grow?
Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Winter Landz at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him.
Behavior notes:
12/17/24 staff behavior evaluation:
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Winter Landz had wide soft eyes, ears pinned and was whining at the front. She allowed easy leashing but was nervous to step out and needed some leash pressure to come out.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally
HANDLING:
In the room, Winter Landz was a bit nervous at first, shying away from chairs, direct approaches, and the mop bucket. She needed some confidence but with time she warmed up. She was still a bit unsure of direct contact and needed to come to you at first and get used to you before you could directly touch her. She would turn around and do little lip licks but then would see who it was and become wiggly. She takes treats gently and loves cheese and allows all handling. She knew sit and was very patient and is a timid girl.
PLAY:
Very awkward play
TOYS:
Interest but no possession
12/16/24 staff noted: Winter is very friendly! She allowed leashing, microchip scan and pets and hugs with no problem. She was barking and whimpering at another dog however it seemed non aggressive and she may just wanted to play.
