My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I am playful and cute!

I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

Pumpkin interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience should they at least be well counseled in FIV+ Cats and inappropriate elimination (relation to her medical conditions).

A volunteer writes: Pumpkin has places to go and a forever family to meet, so she's been known to stand up at the front of her condo. With her paws on the door, Pumpkin seems to be inviting everyone to visit or at the very least, asking them to give her a chance to say hi. Whatever her intentions may be as she stretches and shows the world her little cat belly, Pumpkin really knows how to make an impression. When I open her condo door, I'm treated to the very best cuddles as she flops herself into my arms and reaches her paws in ten different directions. Resting on her bed of toys, Pumpkin leans into every neck scritch and kneads her paws as she softly purrs. Since she stands at the door looking like she's begging to meet and greet everyone walking by, I expected a high energy kitten but Pumpkin has this adorably lazy play style where she stretches out and rolls over, maybe reaching a paw out to grab the toy. Maybe not. Sometimes she catches it, sometimes not, but both are ok with her. All she's hoping for is a chance to be included and loved.
