Meet Walter!

He is currently being fostered with Buddy, another dog available through For the Dogs Rescue! He is the perfect small size and loves everyone he meets. He is kid and dog friendly and overall such a sweetheart. He loves to be in your lap, especially to watch some good TV!

After filling out an adoption application, a director from the rescue reaches out to the potential adopter to ask clarifying questions in order to choose the best fit applicant for the dog. After that, we schedule a meet-and-greet with the potential adopter and their animals (if applicable) to make sure that we feel it is a good fit for both the dog and the adopter. After that, if it is deemed a good match, the adopter fills out a contract, pays the adoption fee, and take home their new best friend!

For the Dogs Rescue is a veterinarian owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue in Texas dedicated to pulling dogs out of shelters and finding them forever homes. We are a foster-based rescue, with all of our dogs living in foster homes until they are adopted out to their new families.
