My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goober

Goober is a 10 lb black-and-white cutie with a permanent "resting smile face" that’s sure to brighten your day. He’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly, especially around his doggie roommates. Goober’s calm, friendly vibe makes him the perfect holiday companion, whether you’re lounging by the fire or enjoying a quiet evening.

If you’re looking for a sweet pup to snuggle up with this season, Goober is ready to find his forever home!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
