Spice up your holidays with a little Dill! She is a three-month-old energetic and playful kitten looking for a forever home with people to love and things to explore.
Dill is a petite little angel. She was very sick and small when we got her and has been working hard to catch up in size with her siblings. But don’t let her size fool you, she can be just as wily as any of her siblings and can often be found just out of sight, ready to pounce and tackle a brother or sister.
While she does have her cheeky side, Dill is also one of the best snugglers of the group. She loves to get in your face and rub against your cheek. She settles in a lap while her person is working at their desk or perches on a shoulder for nap time.
Dill currently lives with her siblings and mom in their foster home (house) with two adult foster parents and occasional visits from their adult children. She does well with other cats and children, but has never met a dog. Because she is young and adaptable, she would probably adjust just fine to a dog if given time and slow introductions.
Dill would love to find a forever home filled with people to love her and shower her with the snuggles and affection she deserves. Because of her young age, she’ll need to be adopted with one of her siblings (check out the rest of the “spice rack” kittens) or to a home with a friendly young resident cat who can show her the ropes.

Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
