Artie is a resilient, pint-sized 7-month-old pup with a heart full of love and determination. After coming into the shelter with a brachial plexus injury, he’s been recovering in a foster home and getting better every day. As a shy guy, it has taken him some time to get comfortable in his new surroundings, but once he settled in, he’s shown his true personality—a playful, silly, affectionate boy! He loves toys (both playing and snuggling with them!), enjoys exploring and sniffing around the yard and cuddling with his foster parents on his bed.
Artie would do best with an adopter who is patient and will let him go at his own pace so he can learn that the world isn’t so scary. He also needs some practice walking on a leash. He’s nearly house-trained (prefers to potty outside, just needs a watchful eye for his signals), and happily snoozes in his pen when he’s left alone. He’s very food-motivated and loves treats, so he’s got great potential to be a well-trained pup.
After a rough start, Artie deserves a loving and patient home to call him own. Follow him in foster with @adopt.from.oas on Instagram! Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
