MUNA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:
Muna         Best Guess for Breed:  Some type of lab mix

Best Guess for Age:  9 months as of December 2024        SEX:   Female

Approximate Weight:   15.7 lbs as of December 2024; she still has a bit more to grow

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.

Special adoption considerations:   Because Muna is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. We would be cautious placing Muna in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.

Muna is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie started life in Puerto Rico and was rescued as a stray. She was very happy to get off the streets and now belly rubs rank way up there on her 'love' list. She definitely wants lots of those in her forever home, along with sniffy walks and world exploration and testing all the toys to see what she likes best. Dog school would be great, too, so she can show how super fast she learns.

Most of all, though, she wants to be safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Muna the one you see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
