OBI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Obi       Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix

Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of December 2024         SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight: 12 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen Obi with cats but he can be tested if you have them. We would be cautious placing Obi in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. 

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Obi would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. 

Obi is Looking For:  His forever home! This sweet small boy came all the way from Puerto Rico to get his own humans. He's eager to trot through life knowing he's safe and well loved and exactly where he belongs. He's up for sniffy walks, world exploration - and lots of cuddles! In exchange, he has adoring gazes and happy little tail wags and loyal companionship to offer. What do you say?
