NIKO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

Name: Niko   Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Age: 8 months    Estimated DOB: 3/7/24

SEX: Male      Approximate Weight: 10lbs

Coloring: Orange and White  Type of Hair: Short

Gets Along With: With proper integration, Niko will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period.  We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!

Litter: Nash, Niko

Currently Living at: PetSmart Largo (10464 Campus Way South Largo, MD 20774)

I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Niko, and I am a cute little kitty! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitty self. Two cats are more fun than one, and I'd love to be adopted with my super cute sibling, Nash!

What the Shelter Says About Me: Niko has morphed from a scared, timid baby to one of the most loving boys! Now he lives in the kitten playroom and with the other kitties just as if they had been together from the beginning. If you go in the playroom with Niko and the others, you had better be ready for lots of loves and lap-warming. It's so wonderful to see how far kittens who did not have a great deal of interaction with people can come with some dedicated time and attention. Niko loves his brother, Nash. They like sleeping on the top shelf so if you have a cat tree - he promises to make good use of it!

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for adult cats is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together). The adoption fee for a kitten (under 7 months old) is $220 ($380 for two kittens adopted together). If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckycat.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
