My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I'm writing this with the help of my foster mom, Kathy, and she tends to be a little long winded...so if you don't want to hang in there for the whole post, let me get this out there: I'm Fannie, I'm a little weird, I'm a black dog and I need a family that will love me forever. There, that's really all I've got.
Kathy: Fannie was living on the streets of Tulsa with her mom and young (later litter) siblings. Her family moved off and left Fannie when she was the "young" litte r. She had a litter of her own and finally, Oklahoma Alliance for Animals stepped in to rescue all of them. Fannie was scared, semi-feral and needed a lot of TLC. Her mom and siblings were accepted to rescue but no one wanted Fannie. There are never enough fosters or resources for us to help out of County, especially TULSA dogs but Fannie tugged at our heart and we couldn't say no. In all her weirdness, we pulled her and she went to a foster home in Sand Springs (Thank you Desira). There, she proved that she was house trained, liked being around other dogs, cats and kids. She was painfully shy and we all celebrated when she crawled up on the couch to sit by foster mom...but foster homes aren't forever.
Next she came back to SWAT to be fostered by me...She did well with the pack, cat and chickens but still was shy about any attention she was given. She has come a LONG ways. She wags her tail, comes to the door with the rest of the pack to welcome us home, likes to be snuggled (on her terms). She is ready to find forever.
If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, please fill out an application at http://savingwhiskersandtails.rescuegroups.org/forms/
and reply to the thread. We'll arrange a meet and greet. PLEASE hurry, this foster mom is falling in love and if she stays, There will be another pup living on the street for which we will have no room.
