Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
*Introducing a bonded pair of brown tabby cats named Squirtle and Scootin Boots.
Squirtle and Boots are sibling brothers that do everything together. They eat together, snuggle and groom each other.
Squirtle the cat with the white neck, chest and feet is the quieter reserved cat. He does not outright want to greet everyone right away, but he will coexist in the space. He is a funny guy and is particular. If he loves, you he is like Velcro. He REALLY likes the spring toys and pom pom balls.
Boots is the more outgoing of the pair. He will come right up to new people who come inside. He will rub against the visitor's legs soliciting attention. He also enjoys springs toys and things he can bat around and chase. He loves to lay in the sunshine and will chase light reflections on the wall or laser pointers.
They both are not fans of vacuum cleaners or Roombas. They both love their cat scratcher towers. Because Squirtle is shy and tends to avoid children, they would both thrive together in a home with adults only.

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
