With great sadness I need to find my buddy a new home. We recently had a baby and it isn’t working with him and the baby as he has shown aggression towards him. With that being said he is a really good dog. Low maintenance in the house, crate trained, never gets into anything, and loves to lay around when he’s received proper activity, and does great in the car.  He is very intelligent and loves to learn new things. Outside he loves to run, play with toys, and bake in the sun. He is used to running on leash 10+ miles a week, but is satisfied with walks and hikes. Ideally he has a fenced yard to wander in, but with proper activity would do fine without . He does well on his leash during walks, but has an incredible prey drive so he should never be left off leash. Does okay with a lot of dogs, specifically females, but can be aggressive so no dog parks and would ideally be the only dog at home and older kids only. He has been muzzled around the baby for the last few months and does well with it. He is trained in basic commands and very food motivated. The perfect family would be one with no kids or older in age 10+ and no dogs that lives an active lifestyle that he can join in on. He has spent time around pre teen and teen kids and loves them. He is okay being home by himself during the day while you’re at work. If you are local to Bend, I would be happy to help take care of him in certain situations. Can provide his crate, toys, beds, leash, and any left over food. Has active pet insurance until May 25. Happy to meet you anywhere. I just want my buddy to find a loving home.
