My name is Spencer!

Hi there! My name is Spencer, and I'm a handsome, adventurous German Shepherd pup with a zest for life and a heart full of hope. My journey hasn’t been the easiest, but I’ve bounced back like the brave boy I am! I had shoulder surgery to fix a break, and now that I’m all healed, you can catch me zooming around the yard, pouncing on my toys, and chasing my foster sister like the playful pup I was meant to be.

I’m a smart cookie who’s always ready for fun and learning. I know commands like “sit” and “enough,” and I’m working hard on “stay.” I’m also super treat-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze! I’ve got great house manners coming along and will let you know when I need a potty break. I do get a little excited on walks (there’s just so much to see!), but I’m getting the hang of it and calming down quickly.

When I’m not playing or exploring the great outdoors, I love to snuggle up on the couch with my humans. I’m what you’d call a “velcro dog”—I just want to be wherever you are. I’ll happily follow you around the house, wagging my tail and giving you my best puppy smile. Oh, and speaking of tails, sometimes I chase mine—it’s a great way to burn off extra energy and make you laugh!

I get along well with big dogs, love kids (just watch out for my enthusiasm!), and I’m crate trained. I sleep in my crate at night and am learning to be trustworthy out of it, though you might want to keep me crated when you’re away since I’m still a curious pup who likes to chew.
