Hi! I'm Josie! I'm a young, petite, and playful calico with beautiful soft fur.
I'm great at leaping acrobatically to catch feather wand toys. I love wrestling and chasing Joey, my BFF. Joey and I both mew adorably at meal time and purr like motors when pet. I enjoy long sessions of petting, brushing, and gentle massages. I'll even roll onto my back for brief belly rubs! When I sleep, my face looks like a cute cat emoji! Joey and I often snuggle up together. We're both adults, but he's bigger than I am. He lets me lay on top of him. He's such a sweetie.
We've met our foster parents' resident cats several times and have done very well. While those cats hissed and growled, we sat calmly and waited to see if they'd make friends with us. I've tried to say "hi" with a polite sniff. Based on these interactions, our foster parents believe we'd be good with other cats.
Joey and I were found as hungry strays wandering through Chicago alleys. We were so scared that we seemed feral and our left ears were surgically tipped. However, we soon showed our wonderful rescuer that we warm up to people once we're settled into our new environment. That said, I'm not as brave as Joey yet. I'm still working on some trust issues and will run away if someone moves too quickly or tries to pick me up. For this reason, I would do best in a calm home with an experienced and patient adopter.
Don't forget Joey though! We're bonded and must be adopted together. We're currently residing in Evanston. Our foster parents have never seen two cats get along as well as we do!
Bonus fact: I like to lick tape. Go figure.
WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER.
