I got Samson from a family that needed to rehome him. They did not tell me that he is an escape artist and has a very high prey drive. I got him about 4 months ago.
I have had experience with Shepherds in the past and am an adequate dog handler. Samson has improved, but I do not have a big enough yard for him, nor do I have the expertise to handle his prey drive. He is bonded to me and is quite loyal and amenable to training, but he needs more than I can provide.
Samson is a coated Shepherd and weighs about 110 lbs. As a retired citizen, I am not as strong as I need to be for him. He needs an experienced handler.
I will miss him very much, as I am bonded to him as well.
