My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Raven is a beautiful and well rounded solid black German Shepherd dog who came to Murci's Mission when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Her birthdate is 11/16/2023. Raven has lived a really great life so far and she has basic life skills on board that make her a great adoption candidate.

Raven is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She has limited exposure to toddlers and babies but has always been kind to all the people she has met. She is non malicious to cats, but can come across as irritating to them by making attempts to herd and chase them, so dog savvy and or confident cats recommended. She has been through basic training and knows how to mind her manners at home, so she can be kept in a kennel or loose in a room around the house when home alone. She can be mildly destructive and unfocused when she hasn't been well exercised, but that's completely normal for a young power breed dog.

Raven's ideal family would be one that's active and wants to include her in some of life's adventures like hiking and biking or road trips. She's a great dog looking to lock in a wonderful and secure future with an equally great family.

Raven comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, medical records, and a sample of the food she's been eating. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application. Thank you for checking out our girl.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
