My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mori, a 2-year-old neutered male Jindo mix with a stunning white coat, weighing 18 kg.
One of Wanju Meat farm survivors, Mori is a sweet and gentle soul who’s eager to find his forever family.

Mori is wonderfully friendly, even with strangers. Offer him a treat, and he’ll happily take it, quickly warming up to you with tail wags and affectionate licks on your hand. He’s also known for giving kisses to those he feels close to. Mori is incredibly docile and enjoys being petted—he’s the kind of dog you can cuddle, pick up, and snuggle without any fuss. He’s a model of kindness, with zero signs of aggression.

Mori is just as sociable with other dogs. He eagerly approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play, regardless of their size. He’s great at getting along with energetic companions and has never been involved in any doggie disputes. If anything, Mori prefers to avoid confrontation—when faced with barking or teasing, he simply runs away. Although he hasn’t been tested with cats, we’re happy to arrange a test if needed.

With a moderate energy level, Mori enjoys outdoor activities but settles down nicely afterward. On walks, he’s more interested in sniffing every scent around him than in walking in a straight line. This curious nature means he sometimes pulls toward intriguing smells but will eventually follow your lead with a little encouragement. He’s still learning to focus on his human during walks as he’s often too busy exploring with his nose to respond to his name.

When it comes to food, Mori might guard his meal if he’s particularly hungry, but once he’s satisfied, he’s happy to share space with others. He’s comfortable eating or enjoying treats alongside other dogs.

Mori’s gentle and easygoing nature makes him a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving, curious, and loyal friend. He’s ready to bring joy to a family that will embrace his affectionate and inquisitive personality!

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
