Chiquis is the ultimate shadow cat—wherever you go, she’ll be right there following along, ready to keep you company. She’s incredibly sweet and loves being around her humans. While she’ll play a bit here and there, her favorite activity is simply sticking close to her people and soaking up the love.

This gentle girl is fantastic with kids! She’s got a kind heart, never bites or scratches, and is always patient. Chiquis also has a hearty appetite—she’ll be the first to let you know when it’s mealtime!

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.

You may visit our cats at the Dancing Cat Cat lounge by appointment, or via Zoom for cats in foster homes.

Additional adoption info

Once the adoption has been finalized, we will deliver the cat to the adopter's home.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
