Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We’ve taken in Prince, a senior dog who was found as a stray by an RV camper.
His adoption fee is waived/ all supplies provided for fosters.
Prince is on prednisone and gabapentin prescribed by the vet, which has helped improve his condition, but these medications are palliative and will likely only extend his comfort for a few months.
Here’s what we know about Prince:
- He has cancerous tumors (the vet suggests biopsies would be needed for a definitive diagnosis) and severe IVDD (intervertebral disc disease).
- The vet recommended comfort care with medications instead of costly treatments like biopsies or X-rays.
- He is doing better on his meds, but his time is limited, likely only a few months left.
- Prince is good with older children, but we’re unsure how he would do with younger kids.
- He would do best in a quieter environment where he can rest in his crate or a separate room, as he may prefer a calm, peaceful space.
We have a sponsor who helped provide a bed and dog food, but we need a loving foster home for him where he can receive the comfort and care he deserves in his final months.
If you are interested in fostering Prince and providing a peaceful, loving environment during this time, please reach out. We just want to ensure he has a safe and comfortable place to spend his final months.
