My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freddie, a sweet 1-year-old, 9-pound Chihuahua with long legs and a quiet demeanor. Found on a busy road, Freddie is a gentle little guy who gets along well with everyone including dogs and cats, however he would do best as the only family dog in his new home. He's not much of a barker and loves nothing more than sitting on your lap for snuggles.

What more could you want in a companion? Will you be the lucky one to adopt him? To apply to adopt Freddie go to www.peace4paws.com/adoption-application.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
