My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Junie the Beagle!

Junie is a beautiful, red, white, and blue tick Beagle, approximately 5 years old and 28 lbs, who came into rescue as an owner surrender. Junie shines as a loving and low-key companion who thrives on affection and togetherness.

Her submissive and conflict-avoiding nature makes her a gentle addition to any home. Junie loves to cuddle and would happily spend her days curled up on the couch next to her favorite person.

Dog-friendly? Absolutely—Junie loves other dogs!
Cat-friendly? Yes—she is friendly toward feline friends.
Kid-friendly? Adores children, including her 2-year-old foster grandson.

Junie is fully house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, making her a breeze to integrate into a loving home. She will receive her medical care this week and will soon be ready to bring her sweet and calming presence to a forever family.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, loyal companion to share your life with, Junie is waiting to meet you!  She arrives in NJ on Dec 21st.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
