Hello from Texas, I am a handsome male German Shepherd mix named Jamie. I am about 2-/12 years old, weigh 50 lbs and I was a stray dog in San Antonio, picked up by a good samaritan, and when nobody claimed me, she tried to find me a home… but this is Texas… it’s painfully slow trying to find a home for a dog since there are so many strays available. This is where 4 Little Paws has offered to help find me a home anywhere on the East Coast. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, healthy and handsome, and ready to get the heck outta here!
My foster mom says I’m a sweetheart, shy at first but for any treat or toy I’ll open right up. I have a medium energy level, am friendly with other dogs and I enjoy playtime, running zoomies, playing fetch and tug-o-war, and I’m a talker. I am affectionate, kissy, snuggly, and adore my people, and although I enjoy being active, I also enjoy lounging around, enjoying the outdoors on a pretty day, or sitting beside you people-watching. I’m smart, eager to please, and have great eye contact. I am crate-trained, housetrained, and leash-trained, love going for walks, and taking rides in the car. I don't guard my food, my toys, or my people, and I don't freak out when you leave me home alone. I am a wonderful boy and I know my future looks bright. East Coast people, inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
