- Affectionate and devoted. He is deeply loyal and loves being part of everything his person or family does.
- Great with people. Comfortable around everyone, from small children to adults.
- Dog-friendly. Gets along wonderfully with all types of dogs, regardless of size or temperament.
- Walks beautifully on a leash without pulling.
- Loves mealtime and eagerly finishes every meal.
- Loves routine. Settled in quickly and thrives on structure.
- Has displayed excellent potty manners in his foster home.
- Flynn has a strong interest in cats, so a cat-free home is a must.
Flynn is a sweet, well-rounded dog who will thrive in a loving home. His foster family absolutely adored him and knows he’ll make the perfect companion for the right family!
Note: Unfortunately my owners needed me gone asap. The only way the shelter would take me is if my owner reported me as having bitten someone. However, against the bite record that is on my profile, I have never actually bitten anyone and am the sweetest boy ever.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees.
Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.
We typically have adoption events on Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, and Saturdays 11am-3pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.
Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs and families, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 3 days.
