My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reina is a little shy and skittish, but is coming out of her shell more every day. She likes to lead the way on walks, but that's mostly because she's eager to get back to her kennel. Once settled in a home where she feels safe and comfortable, she'll probably be much calmer on walks. Reina enjoys getting pets and will happily join you on the bench and even give you a couple gentle kisses. She's making dog friends in play group and prefers the company of gentler dogs like herself. This sweet girl is ready for a home to call her own. Reina is not a fan of cats so she would need to go to a cat free home

I am looking for a foster to help me transition from from shelter to home life and to help manage my allergies.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
