Who's that Lady?

My name is Lady, and I’m an 5 year-old, female, fluffy 10-pound possible Affenpinscher/shitzu mix.

A Little About Me:
I’m a lovable pup who enjoys back rubs and head scratches, but also appreciate my alone time in the crate or just relaxing underneath chairs. While I might need a moment to figure out what you’re asking, I’m always determined to get it right. I’m very food-motivated and eager to please, so training me is both fun and rewarding!

My Personality:
I’m not shy at all when meeting new people, and I’ll tap dance with my little feet along with tail wags galore when you come through the door or talk to me in an excited voice! I’m also a loyal companion who loves following my foster dad around to see what he’s up to.

My Foster Life:
Other Dogs: I currently live with another dog, and we get along well. After finishing my heartworm treatment, I would initiate play when I was in the mood for it. I would do best with a smaller dog as I was with larger dogs at my prior foster and was always on edge. I would do well with another laid back pup in the house who wants to play from time to time! Food separation is hit or miss. Sometimes I can growl and snap if my foster dog takes my food but I steal his just the same and get off Scott free. 🤪

Potty & Crate Training: I’m potty trained and sleep soundly at the end of the bed or in my crate at night and during the day without any accidents. With that said, you will have to ask me to go outside or catch me standing by the door. I haven't mastered coming to get you or Barking to let me out just yet.
Leash Manners: I’m in a fenced yard with my current foster but walk well on a leash when given the chance!

Barking: I rarely bark, but if I do, it’s usually because my foster brother started barking first....he loves his squirrels.

Kids:
My current human foster brothers are 9 and 11. I do very well with kids, but will need to be in a home that respects boundaries for when I do want some me time and some quiet when there's a lot going on.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.
