Glinda is a 1 year old Westie x Maltese mix who is excited to make you her new project… it’s what makes her so nice! Glinda the Good Witch was found abandoned in a field with her Wicked pals. They were found by a good sumaritan who brought them to our rescue where we promised to lead them down the Yellow Brick Road to their forever homes in Oz! Glinda weighs 8 pounds and is just as adorable as can be. She’s ready to “toss toss” her cute-as-a-button ears and launch herself into your life with a flick of her magic wand. Let her make you the most ‘Popular’ person on the block and adopt Miss Glinda!

Glinda is a sweet and cuddly gal who is ready to find her very own Emerald City home! She adores her people and is content to spend as much time as possible by your side. As she has come out of her shell, she’s gotten more curious about the world around her and will eagerly check out new humans or dogs. Once she’s said hi, she’s ready to zoom around for a bit until she’s ready for a nap (ideally cuddled up in your arms). Glinda leaps with joy when she wants to show off her squeaky toys but is also a top-notch lounger. If she thinks you’re ready to cuddle, she happily rolls right onto her back for a long session of belly rubs. Glinda is just the cutest little gal in the world who wins over everyone she meets. Dogs like her are the reason rescue is so rewarding. We get to see dogs emerge from their dirty and matted prior lives and discover all the good that the world has in store for them, from toys to treats to snuggles. She can’t wait to meet you and get her Oz-ian adventure started!

Glinda wakes up around 7 AM and goes right outside to practice potty. She then zooms back into the warm living room for breakfast and playtime with her ever-growing pile of plush toys. She goes out again for potty before heading into her pen for a nap while her foster mom heads to work. She keeps herself occupied quietly with toys and her soft blankets until her early evening stroll. She has dinner and then spends the rest of her evening cuddled up or playing with her toys. After one last potty trip, she heads into her pen for the night.

Glinda has previously lived with other dogs. She would be fine as either a solo pup or in a home with a relaxed other dog. She’s learning the “leash” thing still but is progressing by the day. She would benefit from additional training and socialization work as she gains her confidence. If you’re ready to defy gravity and start your adventure in the sky, adopt Miss Glinda!

Glinda is an option for homes with prior dog experience. Kids should be over the age of 9.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
