My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birdie has the most adorable pouty lips! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 41 pounds.

Oh my goodness, what a sweetie Birdie is! She is affectionate, gentle, and really loves to lean into you and stay close. Be prepared to be showered with kisses too, there is never a shortage of those with her! Truly, her only care is to seek affection and maybe try to sneak up in your lap. While she can be a little bit unsure at times and hand shy, with the right family, she will just blossom. Birdie needs a leader to rely on and trust. Confidence building and some basic obedience training will be important for her. She will need a fun, active home where any children are at least 8 years old with her timid nature. Birdie is a treasure and is sure to bring so much love and joy to her forever home.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Birdie would love to meet them. She has a soft, loose approach with other dogs. She is very interested in other dogs and wants to interact and play, she is also very in tune with her handler and likes to “check in” with you.

If you are interested in Birdie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
