My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Rihanna! I've got a heart full of sweetness and a spirit full of fun. My friends say I'm friendly, loyal, and cuddly. I love to snuggle up with a good book, or play a fun game of fetch. I'm also pretty smart, I've figured out how to open doors and I can do some pretty impressive tricks. I've got a goofy side too, I love to make people laugh with my silly antics. And I'm always curious, always ready to explore new things. I promise to be your most loyal companion, your best friend, and your favorite playmate. I'm just looking for a forever home where I can share all this love and laughter. So, why should you adopt me? Because I'm Rihanna, and I promise to make every day brighter, every moment more fun, and every cuddle sweeter. Come meet me, and let's start our forever together.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
